Jacqueline Duncan

Jacqueline Duncan

This October, we are thrilled to be hosting the work of Jacqueline Duncan.

Her work combines traditional drawing skills with contemporary sculpture. She has taken her inspiration from the ebb and flow of the River Dart outside her studio window. Mud flows and water-runs, outlines of shells, tadpoles, seaweed and so many other living organisms found in the aquascape are represented through large scale intricate drawings.

Three dimensional ‘flag’ sculptures mimic the play of light and wind across the water’s surface. They incorporate miniscule drawings backed by orange paint and arranged in complex patterns.
